Chrystian Dozza

Chrystian Dozza is one of the leading lights of a new generation of Brazilian instrumental musicians, a brilliant young guitarist/composer whose talents have been widely displayed and rewarded. Dozza has won numerous important competitions including the “Concurso de Violão Musicalis,” “Concurso Novos Talentos da Música Erudita” and the “Concurso Violão sem Fronteiras” (awarded at the renowned “Festival Assad”). He won the prize for best instrumentalist at “XIV Prêmio BDMG Instrumental” – one of the most important distinctions in Brazilian instrumental music – and was among the winners of the guitar composition contest “Novas 2”. He has three recorded albums: Songs from the Land (2006), Fantasia Mineira (2010) and Despertar (2014), composed of a combination of original pieces and creative arrangements of iconic Brazilian works. Besides performing as solo artist, Chrystian is also a member of Quaternaglia Guitar Quartet (since 2009) and Trio Opus 12. In 2016, he embarked on his first solo tour around Australia and, at the start of 2017, debuted at the “International Guitar Night,” a circuit that includes more than thirty concerts around the United States and Canada.
